Aida Refugee Camp – September 2025
At the start of the 2025/2026 academic year, the Popular Committee in Aida refugee camp organized a special initiative in cooperation with the city of Nogent-sur-Oise, France, to support school students.
As part of the initiative, the committee distributed school bags and sets of educational supplies to boys and girls enrolled in UNRWA schools. The effort aimed to ease the financial burden on families and encourage students to begin the school year with motivation and readiness.
The event was attended by members of the Popular Committee, representatives of the local community, and school staff. Students and parents warmly welcomed the gesture and expressed deep gratitude for the committee’s ongoing commitment to education and for standing beside families in the camp.
This initiative reflects the Popular Committee’s dedication to ensuring education as a fundamental right for all children, while also strengthening solidarity within the refugee community. The committee extended special thanks to the city of Nogent-sur-Oise for its valuable assistance and continuous support through the twinning partnership.
