I wanted to inform you that on June 17, we will hold a major public meeting in Strasbourg dedicated to the struggle of the Palestinian people and the defence of your fundamental rights. Around 1200 people should attend. Rima Hassan, member of the European Parliament, will be among our speakers, as well as Manon Aubry, president of the European Left Alliance in the European Parliament, and Bally Bagayoko, mayor of Saint-Denis near Paris (150 000 inhabitants).

This meeting has become even more significant as the new mayor of Strasbourg, Ms. Catherine Trautmann, attempted to have this meeting banned and, among her first political decisions, chose to reactivate the twinning relationship with Ramat Gan in Israel, rather than stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
