Aida Refugee Camp Honors 2026 Tawjihi Graduates

The Popular Committee for Services in Aida Refugee Camp, in cooperation with local community institutions and the Fatah Movement in the camp, held a ceremony to honor students from Aida Camp who successfully completed the 2026 General Secondary Education Examination (Tawjihi).

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Popular Committee, the UNRWA camp services office, and the Bethlehem Directorate of Education, including Ibrahim Rabayea from the Directorate’s Public Relations and Media Department, representing Director of Education Ms. Lamis Al-Zeir. The event was also attended by the students’ families and representatives of various community organizations and institutions.

The ceremony was organized under the patronage of the Popular Committee, headed by President Said Al-Azzeh, in partnership with Al-Ruwad Association for Culture and Arts, Aida Youth Center, the Women’s Center, and Noor Center for Persons with Disabilities.

During the ceremony, representatives of the Popular Committee and partner institutions honored the successful students and presented them with financial awards in recognition of their academic achievements and perseverance.

Speaking at the event, Popular Committee President Said Al-Azzeh congratulated the students and their families, emphasizing that their success reflects years of dedication, hard work, and determination under extremely difficult political and economic circumstances.

Al-Azzeh stressed the importance of education for Palestinian refugees, describing it as one of the most important tools available to the camp’s younger generation to build their future and strengthen their resilience in the face of ongoing challenges and occupation policies.

He also encouraged the students to consider university majors that respond to the needs of their community and the local labor market, noting that education and professional skills can contribute to creating employment opportunities and strengthening the resilience of young people and their families.

For his part, Ibrahim Rabayea, representing the Bethlehem Directorate of Education, congratulated the students and their families on this important educational achievement. He emphasized that education represents an essential foundation for the future of young Palestinians and a key factor in strengthening their ability to remain steadfast in their homeland.

Rabayea also expressed his appreciation to the teachers who worked throughout the academic year under challenging circumstances, highlighting their dedication and important role in supporting students and helping them achieve these results.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of financial awards to the successful students. Representatives of the Popular Committee and partner institutions expressed their best wishes to the graduates for continued success in their university studies and future careers.
